Snowy drive

Photos from a recent trip to Terrace:

Couple in a Pickup Truck

What’s the rule about a couple in a pickup truck? The woman always sits in the middle seat, right?

Quicktime Panorama

We’re still trying to figure out these Quicktime VR panoramas (aka QTVR). Here’s our first attempt:

Xavi is a Photographer

Xavi inherited my digital camera recently. Now he takes it along whenever we go for a walk. He takes photos of everything and anything. If something catches his eye, he snaps a shot.

Took Xavi Hunting

I took Xavi hunting today. He seemed to enjoy it. We didn’t stay out too long, since he was yawning and naptime was just around the corner.

He seemed to get the general idea about what we were doing. “Shoot the ducks ducks and geese.” He was just fine with the gunfire — giggling when we shot the guns. “Bang!” And he took a cue from us and crouched, hid, and whispered when the ducks were nearby.

But he didn’t like the mud and grass too much.

The duck and goose calls were his favourite, though. Quack quack!

Cappucinno in one step

I’ve rediscovered my cappuccino maker. I have 5 or 6 espresso machines, but this one is unique. It makes the espresso, steams the milk, and mixes the two automatically, all in one step.

I was really obsessed with this machine a couple of years ago, and tracked down one down in Italy. Obsessive, yeah!

Winter Day

I haven’t been doing much on the photography front lately. I have a new job, and I’ve been working on my Masters. Maybe I’ll start posting photos again during Christmas.

Meanwhile, some typical Prince Rupert winter shots:

Rhapsody of the Seas

Rhapsody of the Seas in Prince Rupert Harbour, June 11, 2008. A good excuse to use my new camera, and try the auto-stitch panoramic feature of CS3.
